Artist Statement

Driven by a passion for travel, my interest lies in nature and landscape photography.

My goal is to capture a still image that accurately conveys the spirit and drama of the landscape: the weather, the light, and the subject matter. While mostly I work to transform these variables into a powerful experience, I thrive for the fleeting moments when the elements of a great photo fall into place naturally. Photography has given me a deeper appreciation for these elements, and respect for the mystical forces of nature that allow such harmony to occur.

Biography

Chris Moore was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. His fondness of travel began in his childhood, spending summers exploring the National Parks, and continued later in life with excursions around the world. Experiencing the mystic quality of nature first hand evolved into an interest in photography, where he continues to work at capturing the essence and spirit of nature. Chris shoots all digital, and currently shoots with a Nikon D800e.

Chris lives in Florida with his wife and two children. He is represented by Getty Images, and his photography has been featured online and in print media.

Fine Art Prints

You may purchase high quality prints of all images contained within the site. Prints are handled by BayPhoto Professional Labs and West Coast Imaging, and are printed on the highest quality paper.

Standard Prints

Standard Prints may be ordered in one of two ways:

1. Click the "Buy" button located above the image you wish to purchase from within the gallery. Prints ordered directly from the gallery are printed on Kodak Supra professional paper with a fine grain pebble texture, fingerprint-resistant Lustre finish. Framing and matting is available by clicking "Add Frames and More" in the shopping cart. I recommend this option for print sizes 12" x 18" and smaller.

2. Visit the online store and select print size. Prints 16"x20" and larger are printed on Fuji Pearl Crystal Archive paper, which has a fresh vibrance that is unparalleled with a distinctive pearl-like appearance that is a true sensation for the eye. Larger prints, options to add acrylic face mounts and dibond backing are available exclusively through the online store page. I recommend this option for print sizes 16"x20" and larger.

MetalPrints
MetalPrints (pictured on this page), infuse dyes directly into specially coated aluminum sheets, creating truly archival works of art. You've never seen a more brilliant and impressive print! Stock and Licensing

Exploring Light Photography showcases images that I have selected as particularly powerful. To purchase a Rights Managed License for an image on this site, click the "License an Image from this Gallery" link in the gallery header, or visit my LICENSING SITE to view all images available.

I currently maintain my own stock library and have licensed images to many clients for many purposes including corporate office decor, book covers, CD jackets, and websites. If there is a particular image or subject matter not included on my website, I will be happy to search my library and put together a proof gallery that may fit your needs. Please submit a request form for other requests. Currently, only Rights Managed licenses are offered.

Corporate Interiors

Large format MetalPrints and Canvas are a great way to decorate an office space. We can accommodate large orders and offer volume discounts for those interested. Please contact me for requests.
